Zhejiang is the home of Dragon Well (Longjing) - China's most famous green tea - and a center of fine green tea craftsmanship.
Zhejiang province on China's east coast is most associated with West Lake Dragon Well (Xihu Longjing), arguably the most famous green tea in the world. Hand pan-fired in a wok, Dragon Well has a flat, smooth leaf shape and a signature chestnut sweetness. The most prestigious grade comes from the West Lake area near Hangzhou, particularly from villages like Shifeng, Meijiawu, and Longjing. Beyond Dragon Well, Zhejiang produces Anji Bai Cha (a rare albino-cultivar green tea with exceptional amino acid content) and Gunpowder green tea, used as the base for Moroccan mint tea worldwide.
Tea types: Green Tea (3), Black Tea (1), Yellow Tea (2).
