History
Da Yu Ling is Taiwan's most rarefied oolong, grown at elevations of 2,500 meters and above on the slopes of the Central Mountain Range - the highest tea-growing altitude in Taiwan and among the highest in the world. The tea gardens were established in the 1970s–80s on land originally used for vegetable farming. Due to government reforestation policies, many of the original gardens have been reclaimed, making authentic Da Yu Ling increasingly scarce. A single season's production can be as little as a few hundred kilograms, making it one of the rarest commercially available teas.
Processing
Minimal processing to preserve the extraordinary terroir. Very light oxidation (10–15%) and no roasting. The extreme altitude slows the tea plants' growth dramatically, concentrating amino acids, sugars, and aromatic compounds in the leaves. The result is a tea of almost supernatural sweetness and complexity that requires virtually no processing to achieve.

Tightly ball-rolled, vivid green pellets - the freshest-looking of any Taiwanese oolong. The liquor is a luminous, crystalline pale gold-green.
